
Marvel Studios has officially renewed Daredevil: Born Again for a second season, following the conclusion of its first season on April 15, 2025. Originally planned as an 18-episode single season, the series was restructured into two seasons during production. Season 2 is currently filming in New York and is slated for release on Disney+ in early to mid-2026.
Returning Cast and New Additions
Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, alongside Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. Other returning cast members include Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle/The Punisher), and Wilson Bethel (Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye). New cast members include Matthew Lillard and Lili Taylor in undisclosed roles.
Creative Team and Direction
Dario Scardapane continues as showrunner, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directing a block of episodes. The second season will consist of eight episodes and is part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Plot and Themes
While specific plot details remain under wraps, the upcoming season is expected to delve deeper into character arcs and introduce new dynamics. The series aims to maintain its dark tone while being accessible to a broader audience.
